Madekwe, a British-Nigerian mixed race child was born into a family in South London. The mother of her child is English while her father is Nigerian. She was raised on a council estate located south of London. In the ages of 14, she attended The Brit School. In London she attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting certificate was earned. While at school she appeared in a variety of stage productions including King Henry V's princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe's acting career started in the series Storm Damage. Since then she's made appearances in guest roles for Teachers, Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film of debut is her role in the Woody Allen 2007 film Cassandra's Dream. She starred with Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. Following that she portrayed Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally, she starred in Trexx as Ollie as well as six episodes of Flipside. Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into a large, extended family. Ashley Leggat joined Roy and Patty as well her older siblings - Brett, Todd and Bram as well as Rob. Ashley's brothers were athletic and played baseball during summers as well as hockey in winter. Ashley was never able to walk but she was able to dance.
