Amber Benson bio

Amber Benson is an American actress, director, and producer. Her most well-known work is her role as Tara Maclay on the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer and was also the director and starred in her own film Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. She was also in the film Kiss the Bride. Benson was born on January 8, 1977 in Birmingham Alabama the daughter of Diane Benson and Edward Benson a psychiatrist. Danielle is the younger sibling who is an artist. Benson was a member of an Reform Jewish synagogue while growing up. Her mother is a Southern Baptist and raised Jewish through her father, is also Jewish. Since Buffy was cancelled, Benson has appeared in movies such as The Killing Jar and on shows like Morganville The Series. Additionally, she worked as a scriptwriter on The Ghosts of Albion Series and was the director of Drones in 2010. Buffy has spent hours and efforts in locating them, claims there are around 1800 Slayers all over the world, and 500 of them working with their organization, the Scooby Gang.
